As of summer 2021, Yorktown Curation and Consulting has taken on a unique project – management and oversight of an entire museum!

The Carter-Coile Country Doctors Museum in Winterville, Georgia is housed within the town’s circa-1880 doctor’s office. The building has existed as a museum since 1971, but will now be undergoing a complete overhaul to bring the facility to AAM standards. Among the museum’s set goals are the addition of new collection storage space, documenting and cataloging the collection, implementing new preservation measures, creating a research library with the collection’s extensive archival holdings, and overhauling the entire exhibit space.
